GROUP ADVOCACY

Also known as Systemic or Collective Advocacy, this form of advocacy is not on an individual basis but instead represents the rights and interests of a whole group with similar concerns and issues.
Organisations such as Carers NSW and the Association for Children with a Disability play an important role in bringing the needs, views and concerns of families caring for children with disabilities to the attention of the community especially government, policy makers, health professionals and service providers.
Blueprint also works to inform government and other agencies of the needs of families who are caring for a child with medically complex disabilities.
